Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.<br /><br />Responsible for partnering across all ADUSA Brands to evaluate appropriate avenues to achieve optimal value (cost + quality) for the category assortment. Responsible for delivering all corporate wide Fresh COGs and savings budget planning and execution. Ensures that cross brand Fresh Category teams are educated on market influences &amp; aligned with end-to-end cost and supplier selection strategies. Responsible for driving connectivity across Fresh Category for all ADUSA brands, PDL, RBS, and internal &amp; external partners (including suppliers, Supply Chain, Finance, Economists, Sustainability, etc.) to leverage size and scale and optimize performance &amp; savings opportunities. <br /><br /><strong>Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD</strong><br /><br /><strong>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment</strong>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Independently perform the following responsibilities for complex categories/events requiring advanced category understanding, independent decision making, &amp; extensive planning &amp; forethought.</li> <li>Thought partner and/or lead across all brands on assortment, specs, supplier selection, packaging &amp; supply chain implications, and Financials/Margin Management</li> <li>Understand and interpret Commodity Market impacts &amp; other market influences (i.e. tariffs, pandemics, etc.) and partner with the Commodity Strategists on relevant impacts to current contracts and/or upcoming events.</li> <li>Maintain market surveillance and develop plans to maintain and/or gain competitive advantages thru appropriate timing for execution and/or support of Sourcing events.</li> <li>Negotiate and/or advise on supplier costs, performance metrics, long-range plans and pursue supplier partnership opportunities</li> <li>Negotiate business terms, new item cost negotiation, NFR coordination, Supply Chain interaction and/or logistical coordination</li> <li>Plan &amp; execute RFPs</li> <li>Responsible for (1) providing all necessary input for the preparation of Fresh contracts (MSAs, PLMSAs, CRCs, Schedules, etc.) &amp; (2) accountable for the final documentation review/approval</li> <li>Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>4+ years of experience in sourcing, negotiations, category management, vendor management, or related fields preferred</li> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required; Master's degree preferred</li> <li>Strong understanding of industry trends, supplier landscape, sourcing strategies, and category management principles</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams</li> <li>Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to develop and deliver compelling business narratives to diverse audiences</li> <li>Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and presentations across multiple communication platforms, including Microsoft Teams, video conferencing, conference calls, and in-person settings with varying group sizes</li> <li>Effective conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills</li> <li>Ability to analyze, interpret, and leverage syndicated and market data reporting (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, commodity and market trend reports) to support business decisions</li> <li>Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership without direct authority</li> <li>Strong organizational, project management, and change management capabilities within complex, fast-paced environments</li> <li>Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience with P&amp;L management and business performance analysis</li> <li>Experience interpreting commodity markets and applying market insights to strategic decision-making</li> </ul> <br /><br />ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $92,640 - $138,960 <br /><br />IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $106,480- $159,720
