The position is based in Toronto and the selected candidate will have the ability to initially work in a remote, home office for the remainder of 2020.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Expectations for the successful candidate include:</p> <ul> <li>Be a key DevOps subject matter expert for the organization. Initially leading pre-sales activities, and our professional services team, you will help buildout the team with an emphasis on developing/coaching talent and implementing practices which allow us to predict and scale our business.</li> <li>Lead pre-sales engineering activities including technical discovery, technical value proposition, architectural guidance, SOW creation, pricing estimates, and sales support. Goal is to help communicate our unique value and differentiate our services in the market. Includes ability to communicate well with both technical, IT contacts and business leads.</li> <li>Drive quality and consistency in sales methodology, business development strategy, and post-sales deliverables across the coworkers on the team and our Solution Architecture practice.</li> <li>Manage pipeline and forecasts to help us exceed product and service revenue targets.</li> <li>Good organizational and time-management skills. You have a good attention to detail and numbers. You also have ability to manage your day-to-day business in CRM.</li> <li>Use of question based or solution selling principles to understand and identify customer requirements.</li> <li>Help sales design and pitch effective sales presentations and platform demonstrations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years Technical Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering or equivalent experience. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated record of success in building, scaling, and leading pre-sales and post sales teams within a goal-oriented sales culture.</li> <li>DevOps and Hybrid Cloud Experience. Ability to provide expert guidance on DevOps concepts with strong skill sets in private/public cloud architecture, networking, IT operations, security, and development technologies and processes. Proficiency in understanding concepts and technologies in DevOps, networking, IT operations, security, cloud, microservices, and containers.</li> <li>Technical Aptitude. Experience working with cloud solution providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). AWS Associate/Professional and/or Azure Associate/Expert Certified. Proficiency and/or knowledge of existing DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and others.</li> <li>Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Particularly as an executive sponsor to support the sales team developing key client relationships. You understand the technical challenges of systems building and can bring your insights to the role, explaining your choices and influencing decisions. You can explain highly complex technical concepts to decision-making executives.</li> <li>You are advanced at MS Office.
