Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Construction Inspector will assume resident project oversight to observe compliance with plans and specifications for ODOT roadway construction in Ohio.</li> <li>Technical construction projects</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A minimum of 18 months of experience on similar projects is required as well as commensurate education, certification or NICET Highway level II certification.</li> <li>The Ohio Department of Transportation has the following staff prequalification classifications for construction activities: <ul> <li>Project Inspector</li> <li>Project Inspector (Structures)</li> <li>Coatings Inspector</li> <li>Traffic and Electrical Inspector</li> <li>Soils and Aggregates Inspector</li> <li>Construction Engineer Level 1</li> <li>Construction Engineer Level 2&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma is required. &nbsp;Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology or NICET Highway Construction Level II is required.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul>
